I have professional experience in the film developing and printing business, developing, editing and printing wedding and event photos. I have solid experience as a photo processor as well as being a photographer.

 

I have had careers in the beauty industry in product education and in the salon industry ,as an artist, in advertising & marketing, event planning, doing  tradeshows & managing product education workshops , working with platform artists , make-up artists , boutique and salon owners and designers , models on stage, in shows, in salon & studio, and restaurant & hotel catering industry experience, so , I have been behind the scenes of wedding planning, not just behind the camera.

 

Everyone will be trying to help you at being prepared for this journey together,

the event planner, the caterer , the florist, the bridal shop, the place of worship, the venue, the service people, limo service, the jeweler, and your family and friends,

so, this shot planner, photo suggestion checklist is intended to help you consider the style of photos you want included and so you can communicate to me what you expect from me, your photographer.

Keep a photo check list in your pocket on your special day, or assign it to someone, remind your photographer (me) what shots you definitely don’t want to miss. If we missed it ,we will recreate it for sure.

There are many ways to do photographs for your

event , before & after the event.

Certainly, I will capture all of the events, rituals, ceremonies ,parties ,dinners , included in your pre-wedding celebrations and leading up to your big day.

Bridal party & parents & family photos can be shot on another day to take the pressure off of getting everything done all at once. You DO NOT have to conform to traditional rules. Unlike in TV shows and movies, the props ,flowers, dresses, food, table settings, do not arrive five seconds before the wedding begins. The planners begin to set up a long time before the actual event and most people have clothes and props ,days before the event.

Relax, arrange, rearrange, without any pressures.

Private Styled Shoot in Studio

If this whole wedding planning thing has you nervous,

You know that if you are new to the wedding idea and you feel like you are being thrown to the wolves when it comes to planning a wedding , your nerves are all twisted up and ugh ! Where do you start?

Start with a photographer who cares about you.

We can do a "styled shoot" in my studio, where you can play with props, clothes, bring your own , and play with ideas, without anyone trying to sell you the merchandise.

Relax, arrange, rearrange, without any pressures.

You may want to personalize your wedding theme,

perhaps with pop-culture , or do-it-yourself décor.

At the studio we can do some trial and error.

See how it really looks in photos.

 

Maybe shoot a video to show at the wedding, on big screen TV, if your venue and planners can arrange it and get your friends to live stream the entrance video or do a watch party on social media.

 

Do a hobby or cultural themed big entrance video to introduce the new couple, rather than stage a big production at the wedding that would be very costly, and time consuming, requiring long exhaustive planning.

You could do a poetic pledge video, pledging your vows to each other and play it before the ceremony, on a video monitor if the venue, place of worship, allows, or play the audio pledge with dubbed in music just before or while walking down the aisle, or at the reception.

Now important people who you dreamed of including cannot be there for your day. They're gone from us but not forgotten. Those who moved far away, travelers, students, deployed military, sick folks, elderly, deceased loved ones. All your life, you may have shared your passion for your dreams of your special day, with friends and loved ones. They were there, talking you through it, sharing ideas, when you were dreaming up your vision of this very special day. They cannot be there with you to share your beautiful special event. Maybe they waited a lifetime for this day, where they cannot be present. Memorializing at special events is quite popular. You may want to do some family & friends portraits with your photographer, before the event. Print them. Frame them. Add them to the memorial. Have old photos restored and printed & framed for the commemoration display.
