Bait-and-switch Jobs. Photographers beware.

If you invested time and energy in an interview process and then they said the job, assignment, photo shoot, event, isn't available, the job never existed , but they asked you for money , to donate to charity, invest money, time , information, networking, freelance services, that is bait and switch and you should report it.

Bait and switch is a crime against humanity. Quite often they will somehow associate themselves with large reputable institutions. These companies are usually so large that they don't acknowledge the tiny bait-n-switch business that operates in their shadows and won't take the time to. They will only tell you to contact the scoundrels directly.

These industries often host life events such as birth, death, weddings, under larger institutions, as in healthcare or churches & schools for example.

If you made the interview appointment with the local ,interviewing manager, and a couple days before the interview the main office called and said to you " I have to be honest with you", the job is not the job advertised, the one that you applied for is not available, but there''s something else, and tried to sell you on a different part-time job, when you were applying for a full time professional career investment, a management job, and you are more than qualified.

This is not only bait and switch but a sinful waste of peoples time and energy. Friends, family, former employers, references, all invest time in preparation for the interview, and certainly as a professional would do, you would make a dry run to visit the place and meet the people there. If you are a victim of bait and switch employment practices, please report it. so this dreadful, sinful practice does not continue.

Bait and switch is a crime against humanity.
