The famous Heartbreak Hotel Kenansville, Florida about the song : http://performingsongwriter.com/heartbreak-hotel/ The author of the song actually traveled there, Elvis didn't, She had a son who was a country singer and was famous for writing children's songs too. about the character in the story: https://www.rollingstone.com/…/solving-the-mystery-of-hear…/ When Durden and Mae wrote the song it was random about a brief thing they heard in the news, they had no idea how crazy the story really was. The song was fiction. The real story was so macabre. That's what I always say about my writing. One or two trigger words get the whole story rolling. After that it's fiction. Only a few words are true. That's creativity. .One time I was really mad at the pool service girl, she did a crappy job. We fired her. Its a poem now.
