Shooting Panoramas

With the use of a varied speed motorized pan-head tripod head , with remote control, mounted on a gimbal head, I am able to pan steadily 340 degrees . With this method you are guaranteed a sharper , more complete, panorama. Unlike other hand-held & amateurish methods, this may take three to five minutes to set up a tripod and balance the levels to get a smooth even pan across the desired landscape or scene. This professional approach to panoramas guarantees that you will receive professional print publication quality photos for your website or brochures. You definitely want to have sharper more professional quality photos to showcase your business , especially if you are in the business of impressing people with the visual results of your endeavors.

In this particular example you will notice that the scene contains a lot of power lines and moving clouds. It's sunset and it's nearly dark. To shoot this scene as a panorama , multiple shots stitched together, is challenging in many ways. The diminishing ,fast changing light makes it challenging to obtain equal exposures for each shot. The power lines require a very steady shot to achieve an accurate panoramic stitch. The slightest slip of hand could mean losing thirty percent of the sky or land in order to match the power lines. The rapidly changing cloud conditions could mean that no two images would match when attempting to stitch them together.
