We fly a drone to get aerial and above the eye shots.

This is where we employ film-making & cinematic techniques. We don't take drone flying for granted. As photographers we've studied film-making, directing & producing for the purpose of shooting videos for events or advertising.

We don't work in a major movie production studio, but as artists the education was instilled in us as part of the understanding of photography. We do use our film making, directing & producing knowledge to make drone and DSLR videos. Canon EOS cameras have been used in filming major films and can be used to film entire movies. We are in it to win it for our clients. Here are a few basic film making techniques, shots, & terms which we can utilize in drone video production. Drone instead of dolly used for a tracking shot, the camera travels parallel to the object ,moves left or right (in film to follow a person who is moving). In a tracking shot, the camera does not get any closer or farther away from the subject. Drone instead of crane , in film & video production, a crane shot is a shot taken by a camera on a moving crane or jib. Used to move up and away from the actors or subject. Drone instead of boom. A Viewpoint is how the distance and angle appears from camera view and how the camera records the subject. They also include the eye-level camera angle and the point of view shot. A high-angle shot is the shot where the camera is positioned higher than the subject, looking down upon the subject. Putting the camera in a certain way has a big impact on what the picture tells the potential buyer. The shot angle affects how they perceive the subject. Directors of a film use several different angles. The angle of a camera shot is really important for conveying the purpose of the film. Extreme long shot. can be shot from as much as a quarter mile away, generally as a scene-setting, an establishing shot. It normally shows exterior, outside building, landscape, to excite action. In story telling, long shots allow us to see not only our subject but also their environment. Depending on how a long shot is setup, we may find a person surrounded by their space, and can learn more about their life or a subject can be surrounded by distance to appear isolated.

Long shots help us to take photographs that set up a person’s position within the film. Bird's Eye angled at 40 degrees not straight down. In film-making and video production, a bird's-eye shot refers to a shot looking directly down on the subject, perspective foreshortened, subject appears short . A medium shot, shot is a camera angle shot from a medium distance. The Low Angle, a photograph from a low angle, ‘worm’s-eye view’, makes subjects appear bigger. The lens sees the subject over the world. Helps establish dominance or power. High angle makes a subject appear small, makes the environment look more important, known as the ‘bird’s-eye view’, Over the shoulder shot can be used to show a relationship between a person and other subject, positioned next to the subject getting close-up in their aura, viewing the space as you are with them. Puts the viewer in their place.
