Don't Burn Bridges

Lines in the sky

Lauramarie Pepsin Art Galleries vibrates to the beat of her own cross genres.

You may have already discovered her photography to be genuinely original.

Her duplex commentary on modern communication , evoking subliminal characters by combining connecting shots, and use of lines in the sky have been recurring themes in her art since a beloved school teacher crowned her with the title of the queen of the line in the sky , her signature finishing touch.

I have had art critics say to me quite bluntly, vehemently and angry " Why dont you photo-shop -out all the lines in the sky? Are you crazy? Showing all those lines ?" My answer would be, first of all they symbolize communication which wouldn't exist for you to criticize me otherwise, and secondly they symbolize contrast. Without contrast, nothing exists. Those lines make you think, think about what the scene would look like without them.Without those lines to stimulate your imagination, you would stare blankly at a pretty sky until your brains fall out of your head. My lines make you smarter. Never burn your bridges. When two things that are too similar get together and create an opposition that friction makes bridges burn.
